Mandarin Chinese Lessons for Kids

In recent years, there has been a renewed interest in Mandarin Chinese lessons for kids. This is due to the growing importance of China in the global economy and the fact that Mandarin is now the most widely spoken language in the world. So, what can kids expect to learn in ELAMB Mandarin Chinese lessons?

We will explore some of the basics that they will be Covering, such as pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. We will also touch on some of the more advanced topics that they may encounter as they progress in their studies.

What Kids Will Learn in Our Mandarin Chinese Lessons

ELAMB well-researched Mandarin program is designed for Canadian children born in a family with a Chinese background. Often, these children have one or both parents whose mother tongue is Chinese. Based on the unique needs of our children, we have combined once-a-week in-class learning with an online practice package. Our students can study in small chunks every day through the week. We believe practice makes perfect. And we aim to make students’ practice an engaging and encouraging experience.

The Benefits of Learning Mandarin Chinese for Kids

Improved communication skill

Mandarin Chinese is a tonal language which means that the pitch of your voice can change the meaning of words. This can help kids to develop better communication skills as they learn to control their tone of voice.

Enhanced cognitive abilitie

Studies have shown that bilingualism can help to improve executive function and working memory. This means that kids who learn Mandarin Chinese may have an advantage when it comes to problem-solving and decision-making.

Greater cultural understanding

As China becomes increasingly important on the global stage, it’s more important than ever for kids to learn about Chinese culture and history. Learning Mandarin Chinese can help kids to develop a greater understanding and appreciation for another culture.

How Our Lessons
Differ from Other Programs

ELAMB Mandarin Chinese lessons are designed to help kids learn the language listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a fun and interactive way. We use a variety of methods to keep kids engaged, including songs, games, and activities. Based on the unique needs of our children, we have combined once-a-week in-class learning with an online practice package.

Other programs may focus more on rote learning or memorization, but we believe that kids learn best when they’re enjoying themselves. Our lessons are designed to help them progress at their own pace and build confidence in their abilities.

FAQ

The Mandarin Chinese lessons is designed for children ages 6 – 8.

Teachers mainly speak Mandarin during class, although they will switch to English when necessary. The more advanced a student is, the less English is used in class.

We offer Simplified and Standard Chinese courses, which is the language system of China. Learning how to read and write Simplified Chinese, which is more common around the world, will be easier because it contains fewer intricacies.

French

French is one of our official languages in Canada. French Immersion schools can be found in many provinces. At eLamb Academy, based on our students’ ages and school types, we have divided our French classes into three categories: French Foundation, Core French and French Immersion. All curricula are based and developed from Ontario French Curriculum. We foster students’ French study interests and enhance students’ overall French skills.
