After School French Programs:

Core French Curriculum

ELAMB Core French curriculum is designed to help children learn the basics of French language. It is based on the Ontario curriculum and focuses on developing communicative competence in French. Class typically covers topics including vocabulary, reading, grammar, listening and speaking. ELAMB Core French curriculum also teaches children about the French culture.

What is ELAMB Core French Program?

Core French is the study of the French language as a compulsory subject in Canadian schools. It is also known as French Immersion. The goal of Core French is to develop students’ proficiency in the French language so that they can communicate effectively in both English and French.

Core French tutoring can help your child learn and succeed in this important program. A good tutor will tailor their teaching to your child’s individual needs and level, making sure that they are challenged but not overwhelmed. They will also be able to provide you with tips and advice on how to support your child at home.

If you are considering Core French tutoring for your child, contact us today to find out more about our curriculum and how we can help your child reach their full potential.

Core French Program Offer

1. Listen to native speakers as often as possible. This will help kids get a feel for the rhythm and flow of the language.

2. Pay attention to the way words are pronounced in different contexts. For example, the same word may have a different pronunciation when it’s used in a question or at the end of a sentence.

3. Practice pronouncing French words out loud, focusing on the correct placement of your tongue and lips.

4. Use a mirror to check your mouth position when you’re unsure of how to pronounce a particular sound.

5. Record yourself speaking and then listen back to see how well you’re doing.

One important rule to remember is that in French, all nouns are masculine or feminine. Another important rule is that French has two main verb tenses – the present tense and the past tense. There are many other grammar rules in French, but these are two of the most important ones to know when starting out.

In Core French class, we teach vocabulary related to a variety of topics, including:

School subjects, Classroom objects, Daily routines,Weather , Clothing, Body parts, Family members, Foods and drinks,Travel

In Core French class, we teach about the French culture and customs. Students learn about the history of France, the geography of France, and the people who live there. Students also learn about the French language, and how to speak it.

The Benefits of Learning Core French

Improved communication skills

Learning Core French can help improve your child’s communication skills, both in English and in French. By understanding and using basic grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure in both languages, your child will be better equipped to communicate effectively with others.

Enhanced critical thinking skills

Studies have shown that bilingualism can lead to enhanced critical thinking skills. As your child learns to switch back and forth between two languages, they will also learn to think flexibly and see things from multiple perspectives.

Greater cultural awareness

In today’s globalized world, it’s more important than ever to understand different cultures. Learning Core French can help your child become more aware of Francophone culture and traditions, and even open opportunities to travel and study abroad in France or other French-speaking countries.

Better cognitive abilities

Numerous studies have shown that bilingualism can lead to improved cognitive abilities, including greater memory capacity and attention span. As your child’s brain develops through second language learning, they will be better equipped to handle complex tasks and solve problems creatively.

Higher grades and test scores

Bilingual students have been shown to outperform their monolingual peers on standardized tests and in overall academic achievement. As your child’s French skills improve, they will likely see a corresponding increase in their grades and test scores.

Enhanced job prospects

In today’s competitive job market, being bilingual can give your child a significant advantage. Many employers are looking for candidates with strong communication skills and an understanding of different cultures, both of which can be developed through learning Core French.
